In spring and summer 2025, the Josef Albers Museum is bringing color into the exhibition space. With Color Everywhere, the museum will be showing four artistic positions that deal with color, material and space in different ways. Through the works of four artists - Polly Apfelbaum (*1955), Karla Black (*1972), Carlos Cruz-Diez (1923-2019), Christof John (*1984) - color will not only be experienced spatially, but also physically. Movement and color perception are elementary parts of Cruz-Diez's works, while John confuses the eye with geometric color-form compositions. At the same time, color makes different appearances, such as in Black's pastel-colored sculptures or Apfelbaum's colorful floor works.
